EleVyo app privacy policy
For the EleVyo mobile app (Android package com.elevyo.app). Last updated 19 September 2026. If you joined the waitlist on this website and never installed the app, the waitlist privacy notice is the one that applies to you.
The short version
EleVyo shows you where you stand financially and professionally among people genuinely like you. To do that it needs to know where you actually stand, so this app asks for more than most: your income, savings, investments and debts, alongside your education and career history.
You type every one of those figures yourself. There is no bank connection, no read-only account access and no credential sharing of any kind — we could not fetch your balances if we wanted to. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, there are no advertising trackers and no analytics SDK in the app. You can delete everything from inside the app at any time.
What we collect
Your account. An email address, and either a password or your Google account, depending on how you sign in. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase — if you use a password, Firebase holds it and we never see it.
About you. First and last name, age, gender (optional), and the state and city tier you live in.
Education. Highest degree, field of study, institution tier, college and graduation year.
Work. Industry, job level, company size, company name, years of experience, the year of your first job and of your most recent promotion. If you are a student: your target industry, target role and the salary you are aiming for.
Money — all of it typed by you. Fixed salary, annual bonus, other benefits, monthly savings, monthly expenses, stock investments, property value, other assets, total liabilities, and the net worth those add up to. You can update these whenever you like; each update is kept as a snapshot so the app can show how you have moved over time.
Your résumé, if you upload one. The file is read on our server to pull out your roles and dates so you do not have to type them. The text is parsed by ordinary software on our own machines — it is not sent to any AI provider.
What you do in the app. Goals you set, progress you log, financial events you describe in your own words, and anything you choose to contribute to the community.
A notification token, if you turn notifications on, so we can send them to your device.
What we never collect
No bank logins, no account linking, no transaction feeds. No precise location — the app asks for a state and a city tier, which is a category rather than a place. No contacts, no photo library, no advertising identifier. There is no analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the app at all, so we do not have a record of which screens you visited.
Why we collect it
All of it feeds one thing: placing you in a cohort of people with a comparable background, and showing you the paths that worked for those a few steps ahead of you. The financial figures are what make that comparison real rather than generic; the education and career fields are what decide whose outcomes you are being compared against.
Your figures also contribute, in anonymous and banded form, to what everyone else sees. When the app tells another member what people in their cohort typically earn, that number came from people like you — as a band within an aggregate, never as your row and never with your name attached.
Who else sees it
Never other members, other than as part of an anonymous aggregate. No advertisers, no data brokers, and nothing is ever sold. The only third parties involved are the ones that run the service:
Google Firebase handles sign-in and holds your email address and password. Google Cloud Run (Mumbai, India) runs the API. Neon (Frankfurt, EU) hosts the database where everything is stored. Expo delivers push notifications, and receives only the device token.
Anthropic and OpenAIare the two AI providers involved, and it is worth being exact about what reaches them. When you describe a financial event in your own words — “got a 20% raise in March” — that sentence is sent to Anthropic to be turned into structured data, along with your current income, net worth, industry and age so the figures can be interpreted. Your name, email address and account ID are not sent. OpenAI receives short pieces of text to convert into the numerical vectors used for cohort matching. Neither provider is sent your résumé file, and your data is not used to train any model, theirs or ours.
Because the API runs in India and the database is in the EU, your data crosses borders in normal operation. Both providers process it on our behalf under their standard data processing terms.
Deleting your account
In the app: Settings → Delete My Account. It takes effect immediately and it is not reversible, so please be sure before you tap it. If you have already uninstalled, you can still ask us to delete it.
It is a real deletion, not a deactivation. Your profile, every financial figure and snapshot, your goals and progress, your résumé data, your notification token and your sign-in record are all removed. Contributions you chose to share with the community are kept, but permanently detached from you: the link to your account is destroyed, and any text you wrote alongside them is cleared, so what remains is a cohort band with no person behind it and no way to reconnect one.
You can also email hello@elevyox.com from your registered address and we will do it for you.
Getting a copy of your data
Email hello@elevyox.com from your registered address and we will send you everything we hold about you. We are a small team and this is handled by a person rather than automatically, so allow a few days.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. When you delete it, the personal record goes immediately, as described above. Anonymous aggregates that can no longer be linked to you are kept indefinitely, because they are what makes the comparison work for everyone else.
Who EleVyo is for
Two kinds of people: those already working, and students working out what to work towards. Students are a first-class part of the app rather than an afterthought — you can tell it what you are studying and what you are aiming at, and be placed against people who started where you are standing now, rather than against mid-career professionals whose numbers mean nothing to you yet.
You do need to be 18 or over to hold an account. That is not a judgement about who the app is useful to — it is about what it holds. Salary, savings, debts and net worth are exactly the kind of data that, for anyone under 18, we would need verifiable parental consent to process, and we have not built a way to ask for or verify that consent. Rather than collect it and hope, we do not knowingly collect anything from under-18s at all. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Payments
EleVyo is free. There is no subscription, no card details are collected and no payment is processed. If that changes, this page will change first and we will tell you before it takes effect.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, we will email everyone with an account rather than quietly editing this page.
